Party Caramel Popcorn
With the onset of autumn, there are quite a few parties coming up. Back to School, Halloween, Movie Nights, Family Get-togethers, just any old time. It is all a good time for POPCORN. This recipe is a delicious caramel coated popcorn treat that we love.
This recipe makes a BIG batch (20-26 quarts of finished popcorn) so it is perfect for those larger gatherings.
You should set aside a full hour to make this but the results are well worth the time and effort.
Here is the recipe for Party Caramel Popcorn

Baptism
Baptism:
3 Degrees of Glory FHE, Seek out the Good Magnet, Temple Service Combs
There are 3 ideas from this lesson that will apply to other lessons, Family Home Evening, YW or Activity Days. You can make a FHE lesson on the 3 Degrees of Glory and have "Comb" activity where you try to comb your hair without bending your elbow to teach Temple service for baptism for the dead. There is a searching for the good to keep your covenants activity with a magnet and decorative paperclips along with a handout. Use these fun ideas wherever they fit into your activities and lessons.

Candyland Game with Candy
Candy Candyland
When my girls were younger, this was a favorite game to play. It was especially popular at parties because we played it with candy. No one likes to get sent back, so every time you move back you get 2 small pieces of candy. When you get to move ahead, you get one piece of candy. When you make it to the end of the game you get more candy, 3 pieces or 1 larger candy. We would play until everyone finished or we would give all players the end candy prize. It is a simple way to teach being a good sport in games. Use whatever candy you like.

Games
I have added some games that you can use for holiday class parties or home friend parties. I made the game cards and have used these at school, with my children's friends, and for church class parties. They are easy bingo type games. Just print, add some candy or prizes and play! For all the details see the Activities and LDS ideas pages.

More Ideas
Here are a few more ideas for you!
With school starting here is a fun and easy envelope bookmark. Teachers this would be a great first day activity!
Getting to know everyone in a new class or at a party can be challenge. Make it fun by associating it with finding out what is under a candy wrapper. Lollypops with chocolate or gum centers work well for this activity. Change lollypop wrappers to keep it a surprise. See all the details for this candy
"Ice Breaker" on our activity page.
Zucchini cupcakes are fun way to use all that zucchini growing in the garden. Kids love cupcakes, so frost them or top them with chocolate chips! My recipe is on the cooking page.
I've added an LDS church shoe template that can be used for activities and lessons. It has the 2013 youth theme & scripture on the back, "Stand in Holy Places".

just add notebook paper reinforcement circles on cardstock to help the shoe
